Chest Dressing Halo®
The Halo dressing is an occlusive patch designed for the treatment of open chest wounds (such as stab or gunshot wounds) that can cause open or suction pneumothorax.
It is made with a high-tack adhesive material that adheres even to wet, sweaty, or bloody skin. It creates an airtight seal that prevents air from entering the chest cavity, allowing the lung to expand properly. It is usually available in two-unit kits (for entry and exit wounds).
It is an essential device in tactical, military, prehospital, and emergency medical settings for the rapid management of chest injuries.
