The "Plus" model includes an additional Head Restraint System.
This is an integrated Head Restraint System (HRS). This means that, in addition to the collar that secures the head to the torso at the anterior/posterior points, the Plus has Velcro straps to secure the patient to the stretcher or spinal board, minimizing lateral and vertical movement.

Additional Vertical Adjustability:

In the Plus, the HRS also includes a height-adjustable occipital support pad (e.g., in 1/2-inch increments up to 2 inches) to ensure proper head and spine alignment.

The standard X-Collar does not include the adjustable occipital support component described in such detail.

Use and performance in transport and complex trauma:

Due to the HRS and additional fixation capability, the X-Collar Plus is designed for severe trauma scenarios, stretcher transport, large/heavy patients (up to ~160 kg+), and more rigorous immobilization.

Features

The X-Collar Plus is an advanced cervical immobilization device designed for use in pre-hospital emergencies.

Designed to immobilize from above the C1 vertebra to below the C7 vertebra, ensuring that the patient's head and chest function as a single unit.

Compatible for adult and pediatric patients: for adults up to approximately 170 kg and for children from approximately 10 kg.

It has an anterior opening that allows visualization of the neck, palpation of the carotid pulse, and access to the trachea (e.g., for cricothyrotomy), and a posterior opening for visualization/palpation of the spinous processes of the cervical spine.

Made of radiolucent material (suitable for CT/MRI) and hypoallergenic (latex-free), compatible with rescue maneuvers, CPR, and other extraction devices.

Quick application:it can be applied in less than 30 seconds by a single rescuer.
